We all know the feeling of having to travel to Gurgaon from Delhi or vice versa. The fear of being stuck in traffic jams for hours is nerve-wracking, to say the least. Understanding this pain, the Government decided to ease the pain by creating a tunnel connecting Dwarka Expressway with IGI Airport, diverting traffic into two parts. With tunnel construction coming to an end till the end of May, we can expect some changes in the Gurgaon-Delhi route and lifestyle. So let’s talk about how it will change the connectivity in a better and efficient way.
The Ease in Traffic Congestion

As we have seen that there is a lot of traffic on NH8 at the Delhi-Gurgaon border. With the Construction of the Dwarka Expressway that traffic has reduced a little, but it is still a lot because commuting via the Dwarka Expressway is longer for many people. To reduce that, the government came up with a smart plan to divert some of that traffic to the Dwarka Expressway via a tunnel that would also make the airport easier. This 3.6 km long tunnel will be an eight-lane tunnel with advanced safety features and will ease the communication between Delhi and Gurgaon, with an elevated road also in the plans.
Advantages of an Easy Commute

Once fully constructed, this tunnel will provide easy communication to places like Gurgaon, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, and Alipur. It is set to create direct access to the Singhu Border Alipur, creating a much-needed connection and reducing travel time between places. Being an eight-lane tunnel, it is going to be the widest tunnel in India, a one-of-a-kind. Being wide, there will be very less to no chances of traffic jams, considering it is just an alternate route and not the only route.
Advantages to the Real Estate Market

The real estate market of the Dwarka Expressway corridor is already booming, and with the completion of this tunnel, it is set to boom even more. The corridor is still in the development phase and is a great investment hotspot with great returns. With projects from developers like Signature Global, Elan, BPTP, Adani, and many more, there are many interesting investment opportunities here.
Final Verdict
When we think of going to Gurgaon, we think of being stuck in traffic. But this will change soon, and for the better. Better infrastructure is the first step to a better, booming economy, and Gurgaon is doing it the right way. With multiple projects in every category, a huge commercial setup which is still expanding, and this seamless infrastructure, it is safe to say that this city is trying to make an impression on the Global Market and rightfully so. Gurgaon is becoming the key city in the NCR, and people are coming here from all over the country for a better, more stable lifestyle. What are your thoughts about this booming city?
